WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Reuters) - Police in Regina, Saskatchewan, said on Monday they are searching for fans who hurled eggs and dumped manure at the home of a Canadian Football League player who missed a critical kick in a semifinal game on Sunday.
Paul McCallum, the kicker for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, missed an overtime field goal. His team lost 27-25 to the British Columbia Lions, who will go on to the league's Grey Cup final next Sunday in Ottawa.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on Monday for threatening to burn down McCallum's home, CBC news reported.
