9. Oops, I always thought it was the fourth.
If the last Thursday of the month is the fifth Thursday is it still Thanksgiving that day? I'm drawing a blank.

It started out that way, but was changed by FDR to the fourth Thursday in November.

It's always the fourth Thursday. :)

Much easier to figure out than Easter (first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox).
