Is the registration with Steam a big deal? I mean, if I register and then get a new computer with a new operating system...can I play on the new computer? Or since its already installed on the old one can I not? On ign.pc they said it was mandatory to register with STEAM before you could play...

My copy of the game was free from the Radeon 9800XT I bought a long time ago. So I don't even have CD's to install, I have to download from Steam.
Wish I could help. :(
Right now, I'm stuck in a spot and I had to quit playing because it was actually making me nauseous (from the motion, I've never had that happen before, weird).

4. Try asking in the gaming forum |
|
if you don't get an answer in here. I was reading there earlier today and noticed a Half-Life 2 topic. We don't have it yet though it's not from lack of begging on the kids part. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=248

5. if you delete the old installation |
|
you can install on a new computer and download it that way.
i'm not sure if you're talking of buying HL2 on steam, or in a store and just using steam to register it. the registration is easy, but you can only use it on one PC per game.
