I have heard the NIRVANA boxed set!!!

it comes out next tuesday, but i scored one early

pretty good stuff. about 60% of the 'unrelased" stuff is demos or alternate takes, but hearing the songs stripped down is pretty cool. it's like an extended 'unplugged" and makes you remember just what a catchy songwriter kurt was

the rest is of mixed qulity from oddities from the early days to nearly finished new songs. and the b-sides are thrown in as well

but the real treat is the dvd. i'd never seen any of its tracks before and you haven't heard 'seasons in the sun' til you hear nirvana's version of it

anyone who came of age as a 90s outcast (like me) will absolutely love this set. it reminds you of everything great about this band

my friend ordered one from best buy last night. it's only $39 on there, which is a lot cheaper than paying the $50 at the mall
