Poll question: Where I should contribute money this Christmas?
I really had my heart set on a new digital camera, but since the election I have decided we need to put our money into a liberal cause. I'm talking a couple hundred dollars. Please vote and offer specific suggestions - I thank you :)

5. Can you distribute the money, instead of giving it to only one cause?
If you can you might also consider giving to CARE International, in honor of Margaret Hassan.

I hope it doesn't take you long to save up again for the digital camera. The rebates seem to come out during the holidays.

6. Man...the ACLU becomes more and more important every day.
It's either that or some media fairness organization. Either one, they're of about the same importance.

I'd prolly go with the ACLU though.

8. How about including AU?
Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. We're going to need them a LOT over the next four years.

They're at: http://www.au.org

12. Senior Connections
is a good cause to consider. They did some re-flooring in my parents' house. They got a new kitchen floor, family room carpet, and bathroom fixtures. They also do meals-on-wheels and other senior support tasks. I sent a check yesterday.

15. Doctors without Borders
My family gave them a donation last Christmas. They do a lot of good work. In my opinion, Christmas is a time for charitable rather than political donations--to contribute to those less fortunate then ourselves.

16. Last year our church gave us a credit with our oil company and
literally kept us warm all winter. Not a flashy gift, but a wonderful one just the same.

See if you can find out who in your area may be going without enough heat this year, or food, or clothes or what-have you.

*hugs for being a wonderful, comapassionate, giving person*
