I am another gentleman loser, drive me to harlem
;-)

Felonius my old friend
Step on in and let me shake your hand
So glad that you're here again
For one more time
Let your madness run with mine
Streets still unseen we'll find somehow
No time is better than now

Tell me where are you driving
Midnite cruiser
Where is your bounty
Of fortune and fame
I am another
Gentlemen loser
Drive me to Harlem
Or somewhere the same

The world that we used to know
People tell me it don't turn no more
The places we used to go
Familiar faces that ain't smilin' like before
The time of our time has come and gone
I fear we been waiting too long

Tell me where are you driving
Midnite cruiser
Where is your bounty
Of fortune and fame
I am another
Gentlemen loser
Drive me to Harlem
Or somewhere the same

3. Indeedily, neighborino!
It's a fine way to open one's eyes on an otherwise fairly mundane Wednesday.

:D

5. There's an interview question for ya, janesez...
Explain the following:

"Have you ever seen a squonk's tears? Well look at mine.
The people on the street have all seen better times."

12. Gawd, I remember driving home from work
down flatbush avenue and kings highway, listening to this song over and over, and looking goofy as all hell trying to emulate some of the falsetto "mee-eeee-EEEE" things towards the end. Music and memories - powerful stuff.

17. Last seen in a 70s band called Wha-Koo
Seems to have gone into the backup vocalist business:

Tough one; you'd think it would have been on Steely Dan's FAQ.

I get the impression
that there are some hard feelings between the guys & some of the musicians who have worked with them over the years. Could be that's why... who knows?

11. Then 'Dirty Work' or 'Only a Fool Would Say That'...
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 11:08 AM by Richardo

The only song I don't like so much is 'Do It Again'. Overplayed and the rest of the material is so much better...
