Help me wake up in the morning!
Im a fairly young guy(24) and i have the damnedest time waking up in the AM. I'd say at least once a week I over sleep and am a good hour or so late for work. I have an alarm clock, but alot of times i'll sleep right through it, or i'll turn it off and fall right back to sleep. Currently its not much of an issue, but I'm starting a new job next month, working from home, and I just know i'm going to end up sleeping till 2 every day. I was wondering if anyone here had some good suggestions to help wake me up in the mornings, say around 8 oclockish.

2. When was the last time you
had a complete physical? You may need some supplements. Your routine may be such that it prevents you from getting a good nights sleep. There could be MANY reasons for not being able to get out of bed in the morning.

3. You're 24. What are you doing sleeping?
When I was 24, I only slept 2 or 3 hours a couple of times a week.

Of course, I was usually coked out of my mind, but that's beside the point.

5. if i have any less than 10 hours of sleep....
then im pretty beat all day, usually i can sleep up to 12-14 hours....i went to a doctor and got it checked out, but they couldn't find anything wrong with me. i'm usually in bed by 12 or 1, so i get a good 7-8 hours a day, every once in a while maybe 6 hours.

10. Have you tried 5 hours?
It could be that you're sleeping too much. When I do that I usually have a hard time waking up. If I get up after 5-6 hours I'm good... any more than 7 and I don't want to wake up and feel groggy for a while.

6. In addition to the alarm clock by your bed, put one across the bedroom.
Alarm the one across the bedroom in addition to the one beside your bed.

You'll be forced to physically get out of bed and turn off the alarm across the room which may help you get going.

This works for my brother who has to get up at 5:30 am each morning.

7. Coffee maker on a timer does it for me.
I can get out of bed at any hour if I know I'll be greeted by a fresh cup of joe.

13. Pack a bowl and put it on your bedside table...
right next to the alarm clock.

A little incentive goes a long way.
