Today at my daughter's school |
|
...my friend and I held a little Thanksgiving feast for the Special Ed class. On the way in, one of the teachers, a real RWger, took notice of the apple pie. I said to him "You can't have any because I am pretty sure you voted for Shrub". He just looked at me and walked away. Petty? Perhaps, but I felt better!!!!

How did you know he was a RWer? Has he been vocal?
I could never really stand teachers that wore their political beliefs on their sleeve in the class room. I had a few RW teachers. Used to annoy the hell out of me.

I try to reverse things in my mind before I commit to them. In other words, had that person done such a thing to you, you would probably be bitching about it on this message board, right? And you would have thought it was completely inappropriate in that setting, right?
I don't know, I would have. Just being honest. :hi:

...he wasn't the kids' teacher, just someone passing by, who had no business asking or eyeing something that wasn't intended for him! The repug part was for my pleasure, and mine alone. And, for good measure, this is a man who would never, ever think of giving away anything unless it directly benefited him.

I've seen a lot of that lately. If you don't want to be friends with this person and invite them over for dinner, that's fine. But when you take a pie to a function such as that, it just seems petty. Why not put a sign on it, "Lefties only"?

The scrounge shouldn't be coveting children's treats. But then coveting and taking from the weak are hallmarks of repuke behavior.
In small, little ways, repeatedly done and explained as they're being done, we will convince a few of these beasts that they are socially unnacceptable.

...a friend of mine and myself have had to take on the task of being the room parents because of the inadequacy of funding for these kids. They have nothing! It is remarkable. We have provided them with treats, books, toys, decor for the room, everything! And, frankly, happy to do it because they are so incredibly sweet they are delightful to be with. When the funds are being passed out, these guys are always at the bottom of the ladder. It is just shameful.
