We have a purse snatcher in our neighborhood |
|
As I was heading out for lunch today I noticed a cop at my next door neighbor's. Then my neighbor came out and they wanted to talk to me. My neighbor told me that as he was doing something in his back yard he noticed a purse lying on the ground with the contents spread all over the place in my back yard behind my garage. So the three of us went around behind the garage to check it out. Various papers, checks, credit cards and cosmetics all lay strewn on the ground behind my garage along with a purse. "This is freeky," I said. "No kidding. Stuff like this never happens around here," said my neighbor. The cop took down our names and telephone numbers. I told the cop that I hardly ever come out in my back yard. There's no telling how long the purse has been there. At most it's been a month because that was that was the last time I mowed my lawn. I'm also gone from 5pm-1am, but you'd think that somebody would have noticed a strange person going around in my back yard as we live in a condensed area. And you have to walk along the front of the house to get into my back yard.
This kind of creeps me out because I come home from work late at night. I will probably be shaking in my boots when I come home tonight.

My roommate was mugged last year. She got all bruised too, because she tried to fight him off.

Yep, a windows laptop in the grass. My dad let it dry in the garage and two weeks later I fiddled with it and it worked...turns out it belonged to an army official. I tried to get to some documents but they all locked lol
Aaah, I was young.

The computer ceased to work the second time I used it. I don't remember what happened that made it crash and since I didn't take note of the name...and truly I was scared to return it too. Mind you this was about 10 years ago. I was a kid then and my dad was oblivious to it.

7. Well it was probably no biggie as far as government secrets go |
|
I doubt they keep anything too terribly important on a laptop just because of what happened to the person who's laptop fell into your hands.
