Proposition: DU-Gruppe fuer deutschspraechender Leute
Diese Gruppe wuerde Natur-deutschsprecher und Studenten herzlich willkommen.

This group would enthusiastically welcome native German speakers and students. I fall into the latter category, so if my German is horrible, please excuse me.

4. Just don't let any panhandlers in...
Can you imagine having an "apprehension for your safety" caused by German speakers?

16. Nope.
You've sent my Spidey-sense a-tinglin'....

I wonder why your Republican-like posts about panhandlers did that?

Not chillin', not letting it go.

17. your spidey sense needs a-justing
Not a republican at all, but sorry you thought the post was "republican-like"

Perhaps you should take a broader view of democrats. Some Dems may not like panhandlers, particularly when they work hard to create and fund a system that can provide legitimate assistance than a half-baked self-help. There sure were alot who felt that way yesterday)

You may also reconsider your view of republicans. I know a 'pubbie (a staunch "moral values" type, guh) who always gives a her change.

Who's good here? who's bad here? Or is it more complex that the Bush-like good/evil paradigm

6. I can understand their concerns very well
Moderating a multi-lingual board can be a problem; especially one with the kind of attention DU gets.
The topic came up before, when the country forums were started.

I mean, I corrected her grammar, and probably made some goofs of my own, right?

Good to see you, buddy! :hi:

12. Oops! My bad.
Is my face red? :evilfrown: All these years I've been saying it wrong. Guess all my German friends have been laughing up their sleeves at me. Ah well, live and learn, I guess.

14. nah
Writing in a foreign language is like trying to nail done a bar of wet soap - anybody who has ever tried it knows that. Your German is perfectly understandable; nobody would laugh about a person struggling with a language.

See, I don't believe people here laugh about my English, despite my obviously lacking grammar.
