how in the hell did that
deer do six thousand dollars worth of damage to my car? If animal control or a freeper hadn't already hauled it off I would go kick it a few times to make me feel better.

1. You should see what a small cow can do to a minivan.
It's not pretty. You have my sympathy.

I have full coverage. I usually don't plug a product but Geico ins rocks. They were on it like a freeper on fresh road kill.

12. I think
a freeper took it to feed the compound in northern Idaho somewhere. You know the one where that OJ cop moved to and does hate radio from.

15. yeah...
i was travelling around the country in 1991. in utah i hit a big friggin mule deer. the hood of my car was blocking my windshield, the radiator was leaking, headlights and grill gone, fenders rubbing on tires. it was bad.

i flattened the hood out with a ball-peen hammer, pulled the dents out with a slide hammer, put silver seal in the radiator, made a grill out of chicken wire, attached new headlights with coat hangers and drove another 7,000 miles or so before i flipped the car in montana.

bought a bug for $200 that i used to get me home and drove for a couple of years before junking it

3. tsk tsk tsk deer hunting should be done with guns, not cars
There sure are a lot of them lately.

Could it be, no natural predators perhaps? Like dis-reintroduced wolves for instance?

7. An armadillo once ruined the grill of my 1966 MGB.
And the armadillo got up and walked away.

That little drive home from work cost $1000.

17. Sorta related...
I had a cursed car once. Hit so many deer with it that one time when I got pulled over and told the cop my name he said 'Oh, your that guy who hits all those deer'.

Example: Driving down road, deer jump in front of car. No suprise there, I'm ready for it so I swerve. And hit the doe following it.

I probably hit 10 deer with that car. And a moose. And a dog, 2 cats, kill an ENTIRE flock of birds coming over the hill one day (yuck), bunnies (several), 1 turkey, 1 coyote, 1 turtle, etc etc etc

One time a bunny hopped in front of the car, and I managed to stop in time, and what did the bunny do? Just hopped in front of the car four about 1/4 mile. Her I am honking and yelling at the thing and it just looks at me and hops along.

This car must have emited a wonderous enticing light visible only to animals, calling them to be one with the grill.

I even drag raced a moose down the road one time for about 2 miles. Those suckers can MOVE!

Fortuanatly the car was a solid steel american made gunboat, so you could hit stuff and the car would be fine!

18. did that car happen to have
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 06:27 PM by mharris660
a "Friends of Wildlife" bumper sticker on it? Maybe they thought it was a nice car and just wanted to meet it. The animals, not knowing alot about physics would get crunched.

20. probably for the moose
they are very cool animals and would be attracted to the coolness of David Bowie. I'm starting to see more and more moose in Idaho.

21. Living in maine
I see a crapload of moose. Every year at mating season theres always stuff on tv about driving safe and who died yesterday from hitting a moose. The weirdest thing about them is that odd howl they do when they are in heat.

of places to visit. I bet it has great flyfishing. Also I like to build boats and it seems all the good companies are up there.

23. Boats are big up here.
For fishing I would recommend doing a canoe fishing trip on the Allagash wilderness waterway.
