An actor had a randomly bleeding cut during rehearsal, but refused to put a band-aid on it. It was getting distracting because the tissue he tried to stick to his arm kept falling during his scene. Finally, this conversation takes place.
Director: How did you do that?
Actor: I don't know. I have these random scrapes & cuts on my arm.
Director: You don't know. Are you having blackouts? Did you get those in a blackout? I'm sorry, but we don't have time for an intervention or rehab. We have two weeks. We have a show to do. Now stop bleeding and get to work.
The actor doesn't have any substance problems. He's just a spaz sometimes, but the director is simply one of the most hilarious people to work with. He just says the most random shit all day. I love it.
