ine - to make it sound nice

The British changed it to "Ovaltine", the Americans went along. So in most countries, including it's home, Switzerland, it's "Ovomaltine".

10. sorry there have been way too many Ovaltine posts
in the 14 th. century the Ovaltine jar was a hand made clay pot that was oval shaped,in the mid 20th century when the word " choclatty" was invented by Beatrice Lard the distinktive round jar was used to cut costs.....thank you for your interest in Ovaltine
