2. I'm kinda new.

I have been following DU for about 2-3 yrs. and joined recently. I am originally from Tennessee, moved to New Jersey in August. DU really helped me through the election as well as being my only friend since I have arrived in NJ. Thanks.

You live in a nice area, you need to spend some time hanging out in New Hope on the weekends and meet some people. There are a lot of good people in the area, it just takes time to find them. I have a friend living in Frenchtown if you'd like an introduction.

What took you to New Jersey? I was there for 15 years to give my wife the chance to work in NYC. It's a good state as long as you don't have to deal with the Parkway and crowds too much.

I lurked for a while but ultimately was too tempted by the wild wit and wisdom available to resist the lure of posting.

I'm 37, live in a brightly blue city in a bloody red state, and am still horrified that shrubbie is stealing a second term.

I find DU fascinating. In that "good" weird sort of way. :evilgrin:

I'm in Colorado..a red state. :cry: Although my county had a slight Kerry lead. I'm 31, lost my job to overseas outsourcing. I've been a democrat since before birth I think. I wrote a screenplay because I really always wanted to be a writer anyway.....and I love you guys!!!

I've been around for a few months but typically do a lot more reading than posting. When I found DU all I had to do was read the rules to get hooked . . .

I live in a red state (but in a very blue county), am in grad school for Social Work, and have been pretty active politically for the past couple of years. Glad to be here.
