What is your "theme song"?
If you were a pro wrestler/action star/runway model/super hero, what would your theme song be?

If I was a pro wrestler, my theme song would be "Devil's Dance" by Metallica.

If I were an action star, it would be "Jumpin Jack Flash" by the Rolling Stones.

If I were a runway model, it would be "Jungle Love" by Morris Day & The Time.

If I were a super hero, it would be "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath.

23. How funny
As a project in a music composition class, I transcribed the themes from Barney Miller, Night Court, and The Rockford Files into one piece for a 15 piece jazz band.

Everybody loved playing it.

3. hmmmmmmm
If I was a pro wrestler, my theme song would be "Burn" (from NBK) by NIN.

If I were an action star, it would be "Boom" by System of a Down.

If I were a runway model, it would be "Tainted Love" the remake by Manson.

If I were a super hero, it would be "Beautiful World" by Devo.

6. I love Sapphire!
I saw them at the Monterey Bay Blues Fest 4 or 5 years ago; I've worn out my CD. But it's autographed. By the retired science teacher in the group.

Interestingly, my husband didn't appreciate my appreciation for "bad attitude." He thought it was male bashing. As it turned out, his reaction was one of trepidation. He was terrified that I would develop a "bad attitude" when he announced his new relationship and evicted me from an 11 year marriage and my home. No wonder, huh?

But maybe there are some choices for me anyway:

"Scream" --the young dubliners

A couple of Eels choices: "Wooden Nickels" "Beautiful Day"

Young: "Harvest Moon"

17. "eyes of the world" grateful dead
Eyes of the World

Right outside this lazy summer home,
you ain't got time to call your soul a critic, no . . .
Right outside the lazy gate of winter's summer home,
wonderin' where the nut-thatch winters,
wings a mile long just carried the bird away.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
the heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts of its own.
Wake now discover that you are the song that the morning brings,
the heart has its seasons, its evenings and songs of its own.

There comes a redeemer, and he slowly too fades away,
there follows his wagon behind him that's loaded with clay.
The seeds that were silent all burst into bloom, and decay,
and night comes so quiet, it's close on the heels of the day.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
the heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts of its own.
Wake now discover that you are the song that the morning brings,
the heart has its seasons, its evenings and songs of its own.

Sometimes we live no particular way but our own,
sometimes we visit your country and live in your homes,
sometimes we ride on your horses,
sometimes we walk alone,
sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
the heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts of its own.
Wake now discover that you are the song that the morning brings,
the heart has its seasons, its evenings and songs of its own.

Action Star: "Crushing Day" by Joe Satriani.

Runway model: "Fox on the Run" by The Sweet. That or Ballroom Blitz :-)

34. Sara by Fleetwood Mac
Even though it's MISSPELLED (should be Sarah), it's still my favorite of all the Sarah songs.

Sara

Wait a minute baby...
Stay with me awhile
Said you'd give me light
But you never told be about the fire

Drowning in the sea of love
Where everyone would love to drown
And now it's gone
It doesn't matter anymore
When you build your house
Call me home

And he was just like a great dark wing
Within the wings of a storm
I think I had met my match, he was singing
And undoing the laces
Undoing the laces

Drowning in the sea of love
Where everyone would love to drown
And now it's gone
It doesn't matter anymore
When you build your house
Call me home

Hold on
The night is coming and the starling flew for days
I'd stay home at night all the time
I'd go anywhere, anywhere
Ask me and I'm there because I care

Sara, you're the poet in my heart
Never change, never stop
And now it's gone
It doesn't matter what for
When you build your house
I'll come by

Drowning in the sea of love
Where everyone would love to drown
And now it's gone
It doesn't matter anymore
When you build your house
Call me home

All I ever wanted
Was to know that you were dreaming
(There's a heartbeat
And it never really died)

This used to be my song years ago (not exactly applicable, but still one of my favorites):

Little 15 by Depeche Mode

Little fifteen
You help her forget
The world outside
You’re not part of it yet
And if you could drive
You could drive her away
To a happier place
To a happier day
That exists in your mind
And in your smile
She could escape there
Just for a while
Little fifteen

Little fifteen
Why take the smooth with the rough
When things run smooth
It’s already more than enough
She knows your mind
Is not yet in league
With the rest of the world
And it’s little intrigues
Do you understand
Do you know what she means
As time goes by
And when you’ve seen what she’s seen
You will
Little fifteen

Little fifteen
Why does she have to defend
Her feelings inside
Why pretend
She’s not had a life
A life of near misses
Now all that she wants
Is three little wishes
She wants to see with your eyes
She wants to smile with your smile
She wants a nice surprise
Every once in a while
She wants to see with your eyes
She wants to smile with your smile
She wants a nice surprise
Every once in a while
Little fifteen

38. Let's see . . .
If I was a pro wrestler, my theme song would be "Why Can't We Be Friends" by War.

If I were an action star, it would be "Lovers in a Dangerous Time" by Bruce Cockburn.

If I were a runway model, it would be "Brickhouse" by Whoever Did Brickhouse (Commodores?) or "Get the Funk Out Ma Face" by the Brothers Johnson.

If I were a super hero, it would be "Shaft" by Isaac Hayes.
