OIL SHORTAGE???
A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in America. ~~~ Well, there's a very simple answer. ~~~ Nobody bothered to check the oil. ~~~ We just didn't know we were getting low. ~~~ The reason for that is purely geographical. ~~~ Our OIL is located in ~~~ Alaska ~~~ California ~~~ Oklahoma and TEXAS ~~~ ~~~ Our DIPSTICKS are located in Washington DC

2. Most Americans don't know how we get anything |

The prevailing view seems to be that meat magically materializes on the shelf at the supermarket, already filleted and ready for the grill. And somewhere in the tropics there's a coffee plant that they grind up and pack in jars.
Of course the fact that most of the food we eat comes from factory farms, or abroad, and has to be transported long distances to major urban markets, *and* can't even be grown profitably without energy-intensive fertilizers and pesticides, means that when the *real* energy crisis comes, many many people will just starve.
