The other day I was in Ottawa teaching a class. It happened to be my birthday...and while not one person in the class had previous knowledge...once they found out they immediately began singing the old 'happy birthday to you' song...

Made my day.

ham is a smoked product made from the thigh muscle (the hams) of a pig.

Side bacon (the stuff in strips) is a smoked product made from the abdominal muscle of a pig.

Back bacon is a smoked product made from the loin muscle of a pig. When it is rolled in a meal made of peas is is also known as Peameal bacon.

Peameal on a Bun mmmmmmm.
