How come, when the hero gets an anonymous call saying
"Turn on the TV, now"

He knows what channel the cryptic caller means? Aren't there a gazillion different news channels?

1. And how come
When the hero chokes the bad guy unconscious or knocks him out, they ALWAYS turn their back on them, giving said bad guy a chance to come to and attack again?

3. And How Come
Probably so the bad guy can later have the good guy all but defeated, but rather than just pulling the trigger and winning he decides to explain why and how he did everything giving the good guy the extra time he needs for his plan to come together and wind up winning. Man, that was one hell of a run on sentence.

5. And how come the villain always spills his entire plan
allowing the hero enough time to stop it?

(Exception: Ozymadius in "The Watchmen" comic book)

8. Siskel and Ebert called that "the talking killer" shtick
in their wonderful program about movie cliches.

9. SPOILER ALERT: Another cliche in Minority Report
The hero confides his doubts and fears to an old friend--who turns out to be one of the bad guys.

2. I'm glad you asked that.
I know that if someone says that, it must be so important that it's on every channel.

Does anyone else have any questions for me?

6. And whenever a young woman is home alone
at night in a dark house - she hears a knock on the fron door. Everyone KNOWs the killer is at the door, and you tell at the screen "DON'T OPEN THE DOOR! DON'T OPEN THE DOOR!"

But she opens it ANYWAY and gets killed!

10. And how come
it is always the "slutty" or "lose" woman/young girl who gets killed first?
