and I laughed out loud when the Presidents strolled up to the dais. Carter got paired off with Bush the Elder at first, and then he just strode on ahead, catching up with Clinton and * to make a three-across, leaving Poppy in the back by himself.

Clinton really got in his face (could have been for a # of reasons - rain, privacy, etc) - but I would have paid ANYTHING to hear that exchange. Sure looked like more than "so, where ya goin' for lunch after this?"
