|
....just for the fun of watching the angry little bastards run around like crazy.

Yeh, I kick them too every once in a while.
Just don't do it in bare feet or flipflops!

16. Shake up 1 tsp boric acid powder, 3 tsp sugar, 2cups water |
|
in any container and pour some into lids (I use mayo) strategical placed in or near their trails, and put in a small amount of peppermint, irresistible to the Lil buggers . Give em a while to fully find it and watch their volume slow down daily until gone. They have successfully took it to the Queen and did her in, as well.

and can do so multiple times. (They bite also, with their mandibles, mainly to get a better grip so they can plunge their stingers in deeper!)

9. I'm meaner. I pour clorox bleach on the nest and follow with a gallon of |
|
boiling water to spread the clorox deeper into the nest. They rarely pop up again.

14. i did the boiling water attack without the clorox once. |
|
it seemed to do the trick. if you get the queen, i think you successfully destroy the colony.

15. If you spread dried grits on their anthills, they eat them and explode |
|
at least that's what I've heard... never tried it on the buggers yet, they are nearly invincible here.
I also heard last week on NPR that there is some fly that will lays its eggs inside ants, and (like in Alien) the larva eventually explodes out of the ant host, having eaten its way through it... then the adult fly goes on to lay its eggs in the nest in other ants. Creepy, eh?
