Ah, bliss...
I have a late work-call today. The morning is my own, and I've taken laptop into the solarium with a pot of tea.

Some friends of mine from Ottawa are visiting Victoria today, just by chance, so we're having lunch later. I haven't seen them in over a year.

It's cold and overcast outside, but it's not too bad in here. I'm overlooking a rocky inlet of the Pacific Ocean, and theye's a Blue Heron sulking on a tiny rock-island less than 100 feet from me.

Sure, I have to go to work later, but I'm savouring this moment...

So, who else is enjoying this morning's beauty?

1. Not me!
It's grey and cool, albeit humid. Houston's beauty is, for some reason, eluding me at this moment. Maybe I need antidepressants. Nah, Houston IS ugly--no amount of Zoloft will help that.

2. Wish I were in a place like that....
I'm just hanging out in my dorm room that could use some spicing up...I'm soooo jealous of you right now.

3. You live in (or near) Victoria?
My wife and I visited there a couple of months ago on an Alaskan cruise.

We loved it. Great food, very nice people, and so much to see and do. We regretted only being able to spend a day there.

I told my parents about it and next year we ALL plan to visit for a longer period, so please be nice to us. We're not like other Freeper disruptors.

4. "Ah, bliss..."
Unfortunately the morning does not hold that type of bliss for me. I envy you. Will you sell it to me?

5. I'm in for Bliss!!
My boss was in town for two days and left yesterday. Weather here (FL Panhandle area) is in the 80's and sunny and the weekend is just around the corner.

7. same weather here in oly land.....
I have some murchies blend 10 and emperess afternoon. I think a choco chip cookie, and some #10 tea then out to the greenhouse to put another coat of hypalon on the sofboat kayak. I provide a link here for those who want to see a skin on frame extreme kayak. These are the racing sports cars of the kayak world. NO primary stability a'tall but incredible secondary stabily, tight chine turns, and better than hull speed. If'n I was feeling up to it, I could paddle from Olympia to Seattle in between breakfast and dinner in this boat.

I had been feeling a bit down, and then the Horror-scope says go speak with those who will lift my mood and lo and behold...there is bliss.

Now for tea, defrost the choco chip cookie and then a little paint. I have hopes of sea tests for this boat this weekend. I use a catalytic compound to speed the cure of the hypalon so ought to be good to go on sat or sun.....and even if it rains like hell, any day on the water is a good damn day....

kayak...

thanks for the bliss-lift
