Need to step away for a bit, thanks for helping me with ElectionDepression

Thanks to everyone for their work on all of the campaigns across the country. It was great to come to the DU and read what everyone else was doing for Democrats. There were great conversations and a lot of good ideas exchanged too.

DU helped me vent a lot after the election (thanks to the Mods for letting Fighting forum off it's leash) and hear the worries and concerns of others. I knew I wasn't alone and through the week after the election DU made me feel better. I became myself again much quicker because of DU.

I feel I need to take a break now. It's pure vanity to make this post I know, but it also makes it much more likely that I will actually make more of a break from the DU this way. The General Discussion and political forums have become slightly irrational (probably being majorly freeped too), the whole Dookus controversy and the Lounge topics have helped me realize I need to become less active. I look to returning in force once the '06 campaign season heats up.
