My cat *loves* wadded-up computer paper...
He plays fetch with it... he started with regular cat toys when he was a kitten, then it was wine corks (he will still fetch both), but with a simple sheet of white printer paper, he is happy for hours, literally.

He brings it to bed with him and sleeps with it.

Just now, he fetched it for me to throw (over and over, he never tires), and dropped it in my hiking boot by the desk! LOL!

Anyone's pets have their own quirks they'd like to share?

1. One of our cats would fetch swizzle sticks.
But only the old ones from Southwest Airlines with the heart shape at one end. The others she would play with, but she'd only fetch the SW sticks.

2. good taste!
I own 600 shares of SW, the only airline stock worth a shit! No first-class seats - egalitarian, baby!

6. They just gave me $50 for volunteering to come pick up my luggage.
I got to the airport late, so my bag didn't make it on the plane. I went to get it the next day and they gave me $50 for my troubles.

Now I can fly cheaper next time!

3. My Teekayzer loves plums, he will climb the neighbor's tree
to catch them. He drags them into the house - and always eats 2 BITES!!! They are disgusting when you accidently step on them. He puts them on top of the fridge, in drawers, on ALL paths, in the kids' beds...... Fortunately there are no more plums on the tree - but he will occasionally bring in a prune he finds near the tree.

he is a bit odd.

20. We named him Tiny Kitten when we caught him
His mother (living in the creek) had been hit by a car that morning - when I saw her body I saw that she had been nursing. My 2 kids and I spent 4 hours catching a 3 week old kitten! He's a smart cat. A friend caught the other kitten (I hope there were only 2)

Anyway - Tiny Kitten got HUGE, we called him TK, and it morphed into Teekayzer.

25. Oh, okay. So you were using one of those "not call it by species but by
name in some kind of weird "precious sounding" way that makes it seem like a noun" kind of way.

So it's not a Teekayzer, but the NAME is Teekayzer. It's actually a cat, then.

The way you used the word made me think it was a noun, not a name.

Kudos to you for rescuing the poor thing - how very sad. I hate when animals get hit by cars. Thanks for saving the children!

Did the other kitten turn into a huge cat as well? Or just yours?

7. my cat is obsessed with rubber bands
He especially likes my hair bands, but regular rubber bands will do. He carries them around, throws them in the air, and pushes them around with his paws. I try to keep them away from him, but he always finds them. I find them all the time under furniture, inside the couch cushions, and even in his litter box (I throw those away).

I lifted up the sofa and found 18 corks! That is where they all went.

I started to look for missing socks because you never know... :tinfoilhat:

9. My terrier loves paper too. My 8 month old just finished shredding
some old magazines. There are a zillion toys on the floor, yet she gets into the recycle stack.

She also loves tissue. She gets kleenexes out of the wastebasket in the bathroom and shreds them and she grabs the end of the toilet paper and will run. She has, on occasion, unwound an entire roll.

13. Shoestrings for mine...
They love them. Ricky Retardo drags one around the house. He'll hop up on the bed at night with it wanting me to play with him.

He also likes his furry mice, paper, and plastic.

17. Well, you offended me...
JK.

I just got home from school and have some tests to grade so I'm just here for a minute or two. We had a bit of a wild afternoon. A dad got upset with his kid's grades and started to beat the crap out of the kid right on campus. The vp and SW are pros and did their jobs. The students who reported it were nearly hysterical -- we were all pretty upset. I saw some of it and I'm still kind of shaking over it.

So, that's my day. Top that!

Act 2 is shorter...

Whale Rider is a very cool movie.

We did okay... everyone was a little stumbly. But okay.

I had to get rid of one of Kiko's stuffed little mice... he gutted it and was dragging the filling all over, lol.

Spanky would probably crap if he ever saw a real mouse.

Grandpa is sure a toughie in this movie. I want to go to wherever this was filmed.. perhaps on a cruise. :-)

19. My cat chews on my boyfriend's flip flops...
but not mine! She will also lay on it and fall asleep with part of it in her mouth. My boyfriend insists that the cat thinks she's a dog. The cat also loves straws, for some odd reason. :)

27. I currently have 4 cats
They have an array of toys that they love to play with, stuffed mice, plastic balls, little furry things that no one knows what they are, etc.

My one little guy (Bandit) is a neat freak, he picks up all the toys from all over the house and carries them back to the same place (next to a wardrobe in the bedroom). He does this several times a day. I see him running through the house carrying another toy with this disgusted look on his face as if to say, "geeze, I am surrounded by slobs".
