Are there really judges in America like Saving Amy?
I mean, she doesn't belong to any inside group like the CLEO group in Seminole County, FLorida (Community Leaders - Elected Officials); and she isn't really involved in the real estate business. Is Amy a fiction of a liberal fantasy? Or are there really judges who have a public conscience left?

1. Not many. To be a judge in BushAmerica, it helps to have a
diminished conscience.

2. There might be
But I think you'd find them in smaller areas. I would think you'd get cynical awful fast in a large urban environment.

I knew some people in law and had passing acquaintance with a couple of judges in Vermont who seemed more willing to look deeper into things than perhaps a harassed, overburdened judge in a large city would.

But for the most part, I think it's fiction. It's television, less complex and more idealistic than real life.

4. I agree it's more idealistic, because it doesn't match my observations.
By the way, rural judges are worse. I think there is a people law that prevails over public law in small towns. Favoritism was always an issue, but now with real estate and scrawl being a factor, the networks are getting tighter. Personally, I think the basis of our shadow governments are in these local networks.

3. I've always wondered - are there really judges who are that young?
