Looks like Rolling Stone got it right, in my very humble opinion. The recognition of the (in)desputable supremacy of "Like A Rolling Stone" follows "Masters of War" being voted the top protest song of all time by Mojo a few months back.
Anyone object and care to offer their own "bests"?
The Top 10:
1. Bob Dylan "Like A Rolling Stone"
2. The Rolling Stones "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction"
3. John Lennon "Imagine"
4. Marvin Gaye "What's Going On"
5. Aretha Franklin "Respect"
6. The Beach Boys "Good Vibrations"
7. Chuck Berry "Johnny B. Goode"
8. The Beatles "Hey Jude"
9. Nirvana "Smells Like Teen Spirit"
10. Ray Charles "What'd I Say"

'Like a Rolling Stone' Named No. 1 Song
NEW YORK - Rolling Stone magazine has named the top 500 songs of all time in its new issue, and, well, the No. 1 song isn't exactly a complete unknown.
Bob Dylan (news)'s "Like A Rolling Stone" tops the list, compiled from votes by 172 critics and musicians that included Brian Wilson (news), Joni Mitchell, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco and others — in a special issue that hits newsstands Friday.
"No other pop song has so thoroughly challenged and transformed the commercial laws and artistic conventions of its time, for all time," writes David Fricke, a senior editor of Rolling Stone.
Following Dylan is the Rolling Stones' "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," John Lennon (news)'s "Imagine," Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" and "Aretha Franklin's "Respect."
