What was your November 3rd like?

I've been away from the computer and the buzz, staying out in the country with my friend's animals while she was away.

On November 3rd, I felt nothing but the madness of love and there was a strange smile on my face, a wild and wicked sense of humour, and the passion that night, after the lover drank too much and wept in my arms, his sentiment deeply nihilistic, was unbelievable, unmatched, and continued on until dawn, and resumed when we awoke.

Anyone else?

Hasn't improved much since, either. The only word in your text that remotely resembles my feelings is "nihilistic."

8. Numb. I was just numb.
I didn't want to think, feel, analyze, hope, anything. I stayed numb for several days, and missed work on Friday. I was bedridden that weekend.

I'm only now getting some feeling back, and what I'm experiencing isn't good.

18. Just curious, mine was so strange;

I was in this insane, slaphappy, Hawkeye Pierce-ish denial state, had the greatest sex of my life, saw my boyfriend really cry for the first time...

Crazy fucking day...

23. I felt a little numb
I woke up a little late from staying up watching the news the night/morning before (nov 2). I monitored the news that morning until lunch. Then I threw myself into work.

19. I didn't go in to work until noon and that was only because
I didn't want my stupid Repuke co-workers to think I was calling off sick to avoid their gloating. So I went to face them and tell them how sad it was that all the areas directly affected by 9/11 went for Kerry and their wishes were superceded by inbred hillbillies.

It turned out OK.

20. Tough Day
Someone upthread said the same thing I went through.

Could barely talk the whole day. I was shell shocked.

When my son went to bed the night before it looked like Kerry was ahead, so when I woke him up the next morning the first thing out of his mouth was a very exultant "Well, did we win?"
I actually had to fight back the tears when I told him no.

It was a really bad day.

24. I was pretty much in a heartbreak-induced trance for much of the day.
I couldn't wait to leave work and go home so I could mourn in solitude. Which didn't happen, because I ended up hanging out with a room full of like-minded others that night. And that was a good thing!

Since I chose the day before to quit drinking and smoking pot.

And as miserable as those events made me I am still sober.
