Can we get a Dick Cheney Lovers discussion group here at DU?

I've been talking to some fellow Democrats, and it seems I'm not the only one who feels this way. We are all staunch liberals, but just like Dick Cheney, the person.

It's hard to explain. Sort of like Reagan, he has this genial spirit that I can't help smiling at whenever I see him on TV. He has a genuine wit and soft-spoken generosity of spirit that really appeals to me, plus he is a good father. I think now that the heat of the campaign is over, most of us can admit that Cheney destroyed John Edwards in their debate. He simply outclassed Edwards as a human being, as a masculine authoritative force to be admired.

Can we get a Dick Cheney discussion group here at DU to discuss our difficult position as fans of Dick Cheney the person, who disagree with his political affiliation? I'm afraid if we were to discuss our views outside of a specific forum that we might be in for a bit of not-so-good-natured ribbing and/or ridicule.

It's not a sin to admire a good man, whatever side of the political divide he calls home.
