My bad----I am in a grouchy mood today
All of this war stuff is getting to me. People dying overseas. Our administration has no honor and it makes us Americans look bad. I had people blast me all week about my views on September 11th. I know jobless, hopeless people back home. My tuition went up, pell grants and student loans were reduces thanks to the Chimp. My dog got run over. Tupac died. Anna Kournikova won't marry me. My last three jokes were lame.

Everything just all hit me today. More soldiers dying today just blew me over the edge. Been fed up for awhile. Even more so today. Winge, winge, winge.

1. I don't know you, but
you have a Wellstone avatar, so you can't be all bad!

2. I'm only kind of bad
I heard Paul speak at the WTO in Seattle at Key Arena and it changed my life forever. Turned out he and my Uncle were friends, as my uncle was the Bureau of Indian Affairs Area Director for Minnesota and Wellstone frequently attended his events.

9. WOW!
I really don't know what to say because it's been almost a year now and I'm still grieving for him.

4. I've been grouchy for quite a while now.
Bush sucks. I never completely got over the 2000 selection. Then Wellstone. He was an acquaintance of mine; fellow Minnesota professor. His daughter who died with him was a college roomate of my daughter. The Iraq invasion just devastated me, partly because I am a pacifist (Viet Nam pushed me in that direction, but probably would have gone that way anyway), but mostly because we were the aggressors. I always thought that the US would never attack another country first. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Chimpy say he had changed our policy on that. I wondered why people weren't filling the streets screaming and throwing things. People in this country are intolerable. I find a little solace in a few friends and the DU. Good luck. There are lots of us with you.

8. Sorry, I bet that was tough
on both you and your daughter. This is the sort of guy Wellstone was. Two years ago I e-mailed his office, explaining who I am and that I was interested in interning for him etc. Paul read my e-mail and, specifically, had an Indian on his staff call my house and ask me to fill out all the paperwork to intern for him. The dumbest mistake of my life, I decided to wait a year before I was going to do it and, well, then he died. A great man though. His book is a classic.

So what kind of Professor are you?
