Here's her take on what's going down:

1.) Elections are held in Iraq in January, right on schedule. They are an absolute disaster, replete with corruption and violence, and Allawi is elected in the midst of this sham.

2.) U.S. troops begin to pull out of Iraq within 90 days.

3.) The U.S. continues to fund and participate in the training of the Iraqi force under the Allawi government. Meanwhile, oil flows like wine.

4.) Civil war breaks out in Iraq.

5.) The soverign, democratic nation of Iraq, with Allawi as its elected president, seeks the assistance of the U.S. to destroy whatever hotbed of insurgents has erupted.

6.) U.S. comes in, fast and light, but with overwheliming force (just like Rummy likes it), and crushes the insurgency, leaving destruction in its wake.

7.) U.S. withdraws.

8.) Go to # 4 and repeat ad infinitum.

This will be our model for democracy in the Middle East.
