"Chew Tobacco" Republican bubble gum |

Edited on Fri Nov-19-04 11:49 PM by GingerSnaps
I'm sitting here racking my brain trying to figure out what products they sell in the south that they don't sell very much in the north or blue states.
It has to be in the Skoal Chew Tobacco because even freeper women in the south have spittoons. The right wingers are getting their brain washing drugs from their Chew Tobacco. :smoke:

Hey, guess what? We have civilization here in the south. Electricity, running water and everything.
Oh, and another thing - a bowl of grits is $1.99. A bowl of polenta, which is the same stuff costs $15. You do the math.
Shove your anti-south bias!

6. Sorry for hijacking your thread. |
|
I might be being a little oversensitive. So, I apologize to gmoney, too. But, I'm sick of the disparagement that the south is taking. To listen to some people, you'd think that the south went 100% for Bush. Well, my county went overwhelmingly for Kerry. Dammit!

8. I don't believe that the south went for * |
|
I believe that they have been ripping off the voting system in the south for a number of years now.
The south has been screwed over more than the north has and I can't believe that they would all go for *.
I can't understand why they call some of the states red states that * held a 1% lead over Kerry in.
If we have another civil war the democrats/liberals and independents would overpower the little freepers 2 to 1.
It pisses me off when they call a red state red. What about the other half that live in that state do they count?
I meant that the nut jobs were brainwashed that have a crazy glare in their eyes that say they love *.
Sorry

|
I think the two things that really set the South apart, (and I say this as a proud, displaced born-and-raised Texan who loves Texas, the South, the food, the hospitality, etc.)... which perhaps contributes to the voting pattern of the Southern Repubs are:
1. the Bible-belt, charismatic, faith-healing, offering-focused, non-denominational, legalistic, fundamental brand of churches (no bias there, huh?)
2. the intense heat+humidity combo (plenty of fodder for jokes or insults there)
Anyway, those churches (which I attended all of my life) and the type of teaching received there, really gets into your blood.
Even if one who grew up in those types of churches should leave or stray later in life (as adults are want to do), the rhetoric of the Bible-thumping, the superstitions, the core foundation of beliefs has a way of affecting thought patterns - like it or not.
I know.

My family is from the south and I know about the culture and issues. Did you attend a snake handling Church of Christ or something like that? If so what was it like?

The mind control drugs have to be in a product that they sell in the "red" states that they don't sell in the "blue" states.
I take offense that the "blue" states are suppose to be the ones that don't go to church or believe in God.
