3. Yeah, I saw that tumble

It pretty much wiped out the boost that everyone got from Bush winning.

4. People are finally beginning to realize that America's financial situation

is completely unsustainable in the long term.

Record rising debt (both personal, and governmental)
Falling savings (domestically and foreign investment)
Rising financial obligations with no indication that the government is going to cut back anytime soon
Record trade deficit
Falling government revenue

Yup, I do think we are on the verge of a second great depression.
