turns out I won't be house-sitting then, after all. But all is not lost. It was gonna be too cold to swim anyway. How would y'all feel about a Chapel Hill Pitt-stop bonfire party instead? We can drink alot, and even get nekkid if the mood strikes, but there will be no concrete pond in which to frolick. And it's gonna be at my house, so not quite the nice place I advertised. I'm still hoping to see a bunch of you freaks and weirdos turn up here - ya'll lemme know how big of a fire to build. And I'll bring directions with me to the official shindig at UNC for anyone who's interested, or you can PM me. Sorry for the abrupt change of plans, folks.

To tell you the truth, there was a bit of fist-shaking today, but from the cover of my front porch, and with a cigarette in hand, trying real hard not to light the generator on fire. I lost cable for about 5 minutes, and the electricity blinked on and off exactly once. This storm wussed out on me majorly. I'm grateful for that, but WAS looking forward to being all "mr. top-dollar survivalist hardware man" for a day. Oh, poo!
