Probably the most literate screenplay in the history of English cinema, and a near-psychic prediction of what 21st century media has actually become. Every time I see "embedded" jounalism footage from Iraq I can't get the memory of the "Mao Tse-Tung Hour" out of my head.

it described the corporate media before the news divisons were swallowed up by the entertainment divisons.
The movie knew exactly where the media was headed.
