So we went to see "National Treasure" this afternoon.
It's highly implausible, left a couple of my questions unanswered, was very formulaic, and terribly contrived.

I had a helluva good time watching it anyway.

2. Actually, I really enjoyed it; I thought
it was an "American History" version of the Da Vinci Code.

12. Actually
Isn't it sort of related? Isn't it linked to the disappearance of the Templar treasure?

7. I don't know what it is about him...
...but he's very appealing.

I will say that after I saw the movie, I wanted to go on a treasure hunt.

8. Cage's career
This guy just keeps doing everything in his power to destroy any credibility as an actor he might have once possessed.

Face-Off? Con-Air? National Treasure? The Rock?

He must have a spectacularly expensive drug habit.

10. What are you talking about?
I LOVED The Rock, and Nick Cage in it! Might have been the geek factor, lol.

13. It was just more of the same
Movies like the Rock are dime a dozen.

Cage seems like he has a good role in him about every 7 years.

1995 - Leaving Las Vegas
2002 - Adaptation

Maybe he'll do something worthwhile in 2009?

15. Well, I'll admit
I'm certainly not a cinematic snob. I like it if it's fun, and I don't care if an academy-award winning actor does an action movie from time to time. I'm not looking for groundbreaking every time. I consider it *entertainment* not *art*. Most of the time, I don't even enjoy the most *artistic* movies. Case in point... DH and I rented "Glengarry, Glen Ross" b/c we'd heard it was supposed to be so good. We both hated it.

14. We rented "Bad Santa" tonight
now there's a movie with some nasty humor in it. Highly recommend it if you're still in a pissed off state like I am.
