1. You know...
not all Christians are jerks, freepers, or creeps.

Some of them are even liberals who post here. :)

Ugh

I wanted to get a reference for the pope's quote in the graphic, so I searched yahoo for "no one right religion intolerance". And lo and behold, look at the second hit.

9. Yeah, me too.
Years of debate boards have thickened my skin pretty leathery.

But I do think some people forget that not all Christians are right-wing conservatives.

2. The other night someone posted
that the word "christ" was actually from the Greeks who wanted to give Jesus a name that appealed more to the gentiles. Can anyone verify?

5. 'Christ' is From the Greek Word 'Khristos', Meaning 'Anointed'
'Jesus' is also a Hellenization of the Hebrew name 'Joshua.'

Edited on Sun Nov-21-04 01:48 AM by sam sarrha
do today.. they project todays level of consciousness into the past.... BIG MISTAKE. they create a warped sence of reality, that does not follow with the reality of the past

I did not mean to imply that all christians are fanatics

my elderly mother is not a fanatic.. but she believes that god will not let *ush do anything that would harm the United States.

that is not actually fanitacal but indicates an effect of propaganda, not supported by biblical teaching.

Yes, Bush and his entire family are rich christian fascists. Lets not let a persecution complex get out of control.

14. I added some comentary to my post to try to explain that i did not intend
cast all christians in the same mold... i ws raised with some retty feirce fanatics... but i also know some very mellow christians.

I do not agree with the initial statement.. i considerit hate speach.. un wise

but it is about 2am and i am a bit tired.

ban me if you wish.. when i said fanatics i ment just that "the' fanatics.. a subset of the larger group... I left home and joined the Unitarions. I dont consider them to be fanatics.

17. Sheesh, it's just some transposed letters that someone found
interesting. It's not like it is the end result of someones life work, meant to insult Christianity.

People play with anagrams all the time.

Lighten up people. We've got a real enemies list out there and it wouldn't be prudent to put the wrong people on it.
