3. They went for another one
I guess part of it might be to show that some bands really sing live on there after the last two shows.

10. She was totally starstruck. It was kind of cute...
The studio audience was treated to at least a fourth song. Cool.

13. WOW!
Edited on Sun Nov-21-04 01:15 AM by Red State Blues
I know Bowie did 3 (TVC15, The Man Who Sold the World, Boys Keep Swinging) back in the 70's (and possibly other bands as well). I have NEVER seen them end the show in that manner.

"I Will Follow".....Fan-f'n-tastic!

Rain and Sunday Bloody Sunday earlier this week were awesome as well.

14. Was anyone watching on the NY affiliate?
I get both Philly and NY at my house and I happened to be watching it on the Philly station. Does anyone know if NY kept it going or did they cut to showtime at the apollo? I was too pissed off at NBC to think and change the channel and check

15. Sting did it.
I believe it was around the time that "All This Time" was a single, although I could be wrong. He was the guest host as well, so he did a song instead of an opening bit. His third tune was "Purple Haze".
