1. It's spelled "Meerschaum"
It's German. And I prefer that and ceramic pipes to briars.

4. I've always thought smoking with a churchwarden would be cool.
I'm not going to start smoking just to try it, though.

5. Agend Honduran smokes
Recently on a Sancho Panza Super Fuerte kick.

Not too expensive, and very peppery.

I do wonder how smooth they will turn out after a few months of aging.

6. Pipe from Pipestone, MN

It is pretty sweet. Four winds traditional Souix pipe made out of pipestone(Catlinite) I smoke American Spirits Pow-Wow blend tobacco out of it. When I first got it I didn't want to use it because it was such a nice pipe, but I said what the heck this thing is sweet. I don't smoke it that often but when I do it takes care of the nicotine fix that I sometimes crave.

15. I Own Several Pipes

I have a lady's briar pipe, a wonderful old calabash, and an old Chinese opium set. Whilse I do, also, have a Catlinite, pipestone powl, I lost the stem some years back and have not crafted a replacement yet.

I usually smoke a 50/50 mixture of damiana leaf and aromatic tobacco (I prefer burgundy cherry flavour) but also enjoy damiana alone. It gives a milder smoke and a very gentle, mannerly high.

My greatest annoyance was when My grandmother *threw OUT* My grandfather's old USC Bulldog pipe! He had had it for 50 years and it was hand rubbed, worn, old but ohhh, such a sweet smoke. She disdained it as "tacky" and when he went into hospital, she sent it to the rubbish bin! I grieved for that dear old artifact. You simply CANNOT "make" a pipe like that overnight or a few years... it takes *time*.
