EEEEK.. thunder and LIGHTNING in Southern California...WTF
and wind too.. The world must be coming to an end.. Hope it doesn't get too windy..(we already have almost as many shingles in our yard as we have on our leaky roof :scared:..)

6. Stay inside until the storm passes!
We have tons of thunder & lightning here in GA. Very dangerous. People and animals get killed all the time. Plus, add deadly tornados to the mix. The worst thing is, sometimes, the lightning just strikes (literally) out of the blue. Yow!
I used to have an interesting weather chart that showed lightning strike frequency. SoCal was in the area with the fewest strikes. Perhaps your current weather is due to global warming.

10. I am not afraid..just startled to hear thunder in the wee hours.
I am a weather veteran.. Kansas-tornadoes/hail...Northern Indiana-blizzards/ice storms...Central America-torrential rainstorms & flooding

and of course, not weather related, but I have lived through more than my share of earthquakes.:)

Not a wimp here..:)
