4. Oh my God!
That is so weird that you posted that...just yesterday I was explaining that coffee shop to my husband (whose name I am posting under right now)

I wanted to open a Blue Unicorn used book and coffee shop with free wi-fi in the town where we live; the people in this town are totally not open to the idea at all.

Sad-

10. Don't laugh...I was never there
I just know about it from photos and accounts of people who WERE there.

I am 40, and remember the real hippies fondly from my youth---somehow as a child, I knew that they were "right" in their thinking-

If you have stories of the Blue Unicorn, I do wish you would post them--I personally find that whole scene fascinating!

Photos are beautifully restored too.

The guy on the first one is really cute, too. Of course, that was 1967. :-)

I wonder what they're all doing today...?

6. oh man, those were the days
I loved that time.

I can remember wearing clothes like that.

I wonder if people that age today will have similar memories of protest and rebellion?

11. Great pics, thanks!
Everyone looks great -- healthy, and with awesome shoes! Makes me hate the ubiquitous sneaker.

My uncle could have been in these pictures. He had great stories about being an anarchist/printmaker/coffeeshop owner, rioting, tear gas, the Blue Meanies...

15. I saw Iron Butterfly in 1970
One of the worst concerts I have ever been to.

Don't mean to sound bad, just didn't want you to waste your money.
