I think it's my fury that makes its such a gleeful image to me.

Don't know about the donkey kicking, assume you're referring to previous campaigns? If so, you ask what good they did. I think they (and DU) do lots of good. It certainly does me good, living in a red state, to have a place where I can be in contact with other Dems who are mad, who think like I do, who are vowing to fight this election and this administration over the next four years. Gives me hope and makes me feel not alone!
