1. I began posting regularly in March or April

and I hit 2,000 just before DU 2.0 was launched in July.

2. You're not alone

It took me a while too; I think I'm more inclinded to pick my post rather than post for the sake of posting. If you want to do that, I suggest posting anything in the lounge followed by "ask my anything". It's apparently a crowd pleaser :shrug:

I mostly browse through LBN and GD to see what the stories are for the day. You know the ones that the media ignores. DU is definitely a news resource gold mine!

And I've been around off and on since June of 2001. I always tend to read more than post, and most of my posts have been in Lounge threads. Not so much because I don't have anything to say as that I tend to be more careful about how I say it, but by the time I'm done composing my message, it's been said already. So I just go back to the front page again and keep on reading. I started out reading message boards on Usenet years ago, so 'me too' just isn't something I do unless a subject is really near and dear to me. Not that I have any problem with people who post a lot, or post 'me too' replies -- I just don't come here to do that so much as to catch the news article links and read material that wouldn't be available or reasonably easy to find otherwise.

9. Not there yet

I've been here since November or December 2001 and I still haven't hit 700. Getting there though. I'll go weeks without posting anything then post a bunch for a week or two then nothing again.
