Poll question: I read or subscribe to a daily newspaper
As a news dealer, I'm curious as to how DU stacks up against the overall population.

5. I USED to subscribe to the daily NYT. Cancelled it after their crappy
"Bush could leave a magificent legacy" editorial and the shoddily written "Web is proving rumors wrong" story on election fraud. A real one-two punch for me.

6. I do not subscribe to our local paper.
Edited on Sun Nov-21-04 01:45 PM by GOPisEvil
I do read articles online. I do not believe our local paper gives me good value. Plus, the online version saves paper, as most of the time, my hard copy of the newspaper would go unread. Plus the local fishwrap endorsed *.

The only hard copy newspaper I read is our local weekly alternative paper.

Edit - I also read the online version of The Washington Post as well as Salon and truthout.

8. Read online.
Our paper sucks so we won't pay for it. I then read others online as well.

11. The NYT but they've been piling up since the election
I've been glued to AAR but really lost all faith in the mainstream media; in fact I'm pissed at all of it- CNN to the Times let us down.

15. I don't subscribe to any newspaper
Edited on Sun Nov-21-04 02:31 PM by NV Whino
And haven't for more than 40 years. I once just plain didn't care about getting "news." I figured sooner or later I would find out what was happening in the world. I am now addicted to the Internet for news... probably because I get real news and not "news."

edited for typos.

16. I subscribe to 3 and
usually buy a few more each day.

I work for a newspaper so I need to keep an eye on the competition.
