Question for anime fans about DVD
What's the difference when I see 2 box sets for the same show, but one has (MI) after the name?

1. I don't know, but on an unrelated note...
...I'm totally thrilled after buying and watching the complete Neon Genesis Evangelion series. Got it cheap secondhand, too. Woo-hoo! I know this is unrelated to your question, just had to share. -ll

2. Nice
......but back to the question at hand, the (MI) set was cheaper but had, IMO, better looking box art.

3. It stands for Manga International
It's a Hong Kong bootleg company usually the DVD quality that they produce is terrible because they rip from analog laser disks or even worse vhs tapes. Also the subtitles are worthless most times your lucky if you can read them and twice as lucky if what it reads makes sense. Manga International also goes by "Anime Cartoon International" (AC) and "Animation Japan International" (K). I would recommend that you stay away from the company and see if you can buy a legitimate copy of the movie, something that comes region 1 not region 0.

4. Thats what I thought
but the set I'm looking at has good ratings from customers so far, so perhaps its worth it? I'm not big on subtitles....
