Is my wife bad at cribbage?
She can't beat me. She thinks it is because she is a bad player. Isay that it is because she is unlucky. She doesn't make stupid mistakes. She just loses. So is she unskilled or unlucky?

1. She is
humoring you. Flattering the male ego and all.

Probably secretly a cribbage champ. ;-)

10. I hope not....I'm too competitive to take
kindly to being humored.

3. I really can't be beat for some reason.
I usually skunk her. I feel bad because she doesn't really like playing with me anymore.

4. you ever get anywhere near me and a board
I'll play in her place as her champion...

Hope you got LOTS of tomato juice handy.

But seriously... did you teach her cribbage, or did she already know how to play? I taught my wife Gin, which was fun for about the first two hours as she learned how to match suits...

I've been on a 9.5 year losing streak since. I think because I taught her she immediately eclipsed me.

I guess that's one of the immutable rules of the universe: Never teach your SO a card game.

7. lol, my father in law taught us at the same time about 3 yrs. ago.
I played more because drinking cribbage became one of my favorite games when out of town.
