Behold! My very first cat thread and cat pic!

This is my sweetheart of a cat. Her name is Oz. She's 11 years old, but still looks kind of like a kitten, I think.

She's very prim and proper, and when she meows, it's very girly and sweet.

Sometimes the circles on the carpet freak her out and she has to touch the circles gingerly with her paw, just for some sort of reassurance. What's that about?

But there are *a lot* of cats that look like her.

Once, I saw a cat that looked just like her crossing a busy road near my house and just about had a heart attack because I thought it was her (she's indoor only).

I rushed home to check to make sure she was still inside. She looked at me like I was an idiot when I rushed in calling her name.

that is a great picture and a beautiful kitty! I love these posts, things can get pretty bad but you can always count on cute animal pictures in the lounge. She is a real beauty and you are right, she does look like a kitten.

Does she ever rip? You know, ripping... when a cat absolutely MUST be in the next room RIGHT NOW! We have a cat who rips in place. I need to video THAT, because it's impossible to explain...

24. welll, I never heard it called "ripping", but

I guess that you would have to say that when Shmoo and her big fat alpha sister, Snickers were babies, they would rip into the toilet. Yes, I would be puttering in the bedroom when suddenly Snickers, forllowed by Shmoo would come tearing through the house into the bathroom, jump in the toilet, jump out (splash-splash #1, splash-splash #2) and go ripping back downstairs again. I would be left standing there with a dumb look on my face. I started keeping the lid down after a few more times. That is, until the last time, when I had to go to the can. The noise of the lifting lid summoned them. They arrived just as my defenseless ass was approaching the seat. VROOOOM! SPLASH! WROOOOSH! (Snickers)...VROOOM! SPLASH! WRROOOOSH!!!

I was left dangling helplessly on the toilet, trying to retrieve a shred of dignity by yelling with righteous anger, "Why YOU TWO...YOU....YOU CAAAAAAAAAAAAATSSSSSSSSS!!!!"

14. What a Beauty!

I have a male tuxedo kitty... he's a macho idiot around the house, tormenting his sister. But when it's time to go to the vet, he turns into a little weenie, crawls inside my jacket and tries to hide in the sleeve. Very hard to drive.

Most of the time she will paw me softly when she wants her belly rubbed or attention. She is fine when it is just me but when there are others around especially away from home she is extremely shy that she doesn't want to look.
