My music is louder than yours, gar-on-tee!
I have just done a driveway-walk with Led Zep at full volume. In the summer, Led Zep echoes from the mountains around us. With the house closed up, things are different. Even on the screen porch, with the doors closed, I can barely hear the music. As I walk down the driveway (1/2 mile long) the music fades exponentially. At 1/8 mile I cannot hear a very loud Led Zep tune from the log cabin.

I'm back now. We are on cut 4. Stairway to Heaven. Louder knave! That is the beauty of living in the forest that echoes with laughter.

1. No, Sir.
That's the beauty of owning capable sound-reproduction equipment. But you know, you'll lose some of that weird eacho effect in the midrange in you have 'em flatten those pesky mountains.

4. Damn, Demo.
I don't think I'd even need any radio equipment to pick you up from here tonight.

2. I bet my upstairs neighbor's music is louder.
That dumb bitch likes to keep me awake. She doesn't know it cost her her lease renewal.

5. I'm very hard of hearing
And yet, I'm a music lover, and have been a (piss-poor) musician in my day.

So just you add 85 dB to whatever volume you've got there, and we'll see whose music is louder.

Led Zep? I'm 46, and I still like bands like the DKs, Germs, George Thoro(ugh)good, FoD, Soundgarden, Berri Txarrak, and Metal Machine Music.

OK, the last one was just one album, and the next-to-last is from Spain. So there you go.

Loud.

Deaf.

What?

If it doesn't give me diarrhea, it's not loud enough.
