I don't owe your wife an apology for anything. I followed the whole thing. Miss Kitty posted on the other thread, saying she had been abused. Your wife followed that up with a post titled "LOL". Then your wife posted that thread. There was no irony. Her intention was clear--to denigrate the other poster because she disagreed, and to accomplish that denigration through the other poster's childhood abuse. I find that to be cruel treatment of the first order. And I will not apologize or accept an apology for something so totally inappropriate.

By the way, what do you make of the moderator message on that locked thread? Or the dozens of other posters who have posted to say they found that thread in extremely poor taste? Are we all wrong? Do we all not "get the irony"? Or is it possible that your wife in fact posted a thread in extremely poor taste and people are responding to it on its face?
