Parking Garage Worker Is Newest Millionair (Won $149 Million)
<snip>

NEW YORK -- A New York City man says he has no idea what he'll do with the $149 million Mega Millions jackpot he won Friday.

But Juan Rodriguez said he hasn't quit his job at a midtown Manhattan parking garage -- yet.

A nephew said Rodriguez will assemble a team to manage his money.

Rodriguez, 49, is a Colombian immigrant who came to the United States in 1982. He bought the winning ticket Friday at a newsstand.

3. Just remember..
For the one cool story millions probably shoot in the opposite direction. I worked with a guy who upon receiving his paycheck would have me hold on to his rent and utility money. The remainder went into the video poker machines. If I didn't hold it he would spend it. Like a drunk wanting his car keys back. I tried to stop him but it was always "the day he would hit the jackpot."

I just don't think this should be a state sponsored activity..

5. Gambling addictions are horrible, as are
drugs, alcohol, etc. My bro-in-law puts mucho bucks into those scratch-off tickets. I think such a waste, but he's looking for the big bucks. In the meantime, he doesn't pay his utilities, etc. Yep, could be a slippery slope...
