There is a "Clavier School of Music" here in my town. What do they teach?, you may ask... Hahaha, silly you! Why they teach VIOLIN, of course!

Can cover such a range of music, soulful or spirited, and I love strings. If I had to pick just one, I think that would be it.

So versatile. So beautiful. So expressive.
There's a reason they when another instrument is made well that it sings.
(But as a singer, I'm a bit prejudiced. And I do hate to choose just one.)

I'm voting for the one I'm holding in my picture. It's a Gibson Les Paul studio model. It sounds really nice.

Although I could certainly live with French horn.
One of my favorite ensembles is the wind quintet: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon & horn. Check out Hindemith's "Kleine Kammermusik."

There is a wind instrument known as a "Faggot", also called a stick -- can't think of the name - but it's like an Oboe. There are some who frequent this board whom I might suspect...uh...never mind.

32. I played bass A LONG time ago in the 70's |
|
just for a couple of years in high school. I remember 4 strings on a bass, but I see more people playing these basses.
Pardon my ignorance, but what notes do these extra stings represent?
