Hey, want to hear something cool? This is all off-topic and shit...I'm about to jack my own thread!

The Philadelphia marathon, as it turns out, runs right past my house! And since it's up a BIG hill, my whole neighborhood comes out to cheer the runners on. I started hearing clapping at 8:30 Sunday morning and thought, what the hell? I stuck my head out the window and there they were!

I threw on some jeans and a sweatshirt, brewed a cup of coffee, and went out and cheered for an hour. It was really cool! The best part was, after the very first guys, waiting for the first woman. When she went by (not too much longer, either) she was surrounded by a tight pack of pacing guys and she was BOOKING. I bet her time was phenominal.

I recently started running again. Actually, I took it up again thanks to the Run Against Bush movement. We had a few great gatherings here in Seattle, all wearing our anti-Bush shirts.

I doubt I could ever be in a marathon, but I can stay in a handstand for a really, really long time, if we're having some sort of Battle of the DU Moderators. :D
